Lead Material Controller

Working conditions

Responsibilities

• Organize the receipt, accounting, storage, and distribution of materials for the project;
• Verify incoming materials against purchase orders, delivery notes, specifications, and other accompanying documents;
• Monitor the quantity, quality, and technical specifications of materials, ensuring the preparation of relevant reports in case of non-conformities;
• Maintain accurate records of materials in ERP, SAP, or other warehouse management systems;
• Coordinate the timely and accurate delivery of materials to project sites;
• Regularly monitor material stock levels, informing management about shortages or excess stock;
• Ensure that material storage conditions comply with manufacturer requirements and project standards;
• Verify the completeness of material certificates (MTC, COC, etc.) and other quality documentation;
• Ensure Material Traceability;
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on material movement;
• Participate in inventory processes, investigate inventory discrepancies, and report results;
• Work in close coordination with purchasing, logistics, construction, planning, QA/QC, and other relevant departments;
• Keep records of surplus, unused, and defective materials, and prepare proposals for their management;
• Propose initiatives for the improvement of material management processes;
• Adhere to the requirements of the company's HSE, Quality Management System, and internal procedures.

Requirements:

• Higher education in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial, Mechanical, Civil Engineering, or other related fields;
• Minimum 5 years of experience in material management, warehouse operations, or logistics, including at least 2 years in a leadership or senior position;
• Experience in EPC, oil and gas, industrial, or large construction projects is preferred;
• Knowledge of material accounting, inventory, and material traceability principles;
• Proficiency in ERP, SAP, Oracle, or other material management systems;
• High-level proficiency in MS Office programs, especially Microsoft Excel;
• Fluent in Azerbaijani, intermediate or good command of English is an advantage;
• Analytical, planning, coordination, and effective team-working skills.
