HSE COORDINATOR

An experienced HSE Coordinator is required for a construction company.

Working conditions:

• Salary: 2000-2500 AZN
• Work schedule: 6 working days a week, 08:00 - 17:00
• Workplace: Sumgayit city
• Employment contract: Registration in accordance with the Labor Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan

Key responsibilities:

• Coordinate the implementation of legislation, regulatory requirements, and internal procedures for occupational health, industrial safety, environmental protection, and health protection in the company;
• Organize the implementation of HSE measures in work areas and control the safe working environment;
• Coordinate the process of risk identification and assessment;
• Monitor the implementation of measures to eliminate or minimize risks;
• Organize induction, repeat, and targeted safety briefings for employees;
• Coordinate the investigation of industrial accidents, incidents, near-misses, and non-conformances;
• Identify root causes of incidents and monitor the implementation of corrective actions;
• Ensure the preparation of daily, weekly, and monthly HSE reports;
• Coordinate the determination of demand, correct selection, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE);
• Organize regular audits and inspections in work areas and monitor the rectification of identified non-conformances;
• Coordinate and monitor the activities of contractors and subcontractors in accordance with HSE requirements;
• Organize emergency preparedness measures and training exercises.

Candidate requirements:

• Higher education;
• Minimum 3 years of work experience in HSE in the oil, gas, and chemical sectors;
• Age limit: 27–45;
• Fluent in Azerbaijani, good level of English;
• Good skills in MS Office and ability to prepare reports;
• Knowledge and skills in risk assessment, incident investigation, organizing audits, and preparing HSE documentation;
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards;
• Possession of NEBOSH, IOSH, or other HSE certificates is an advantage;
• Organizational, coordination, analytical thinking, and operational decision-making skills;
• Ability to work in a team.
